Zi Wei, Inspired by the Ancient Chinese Sky
More than two thousand years ago, ancient Chinese astronomers named the sacred region around the North Celestial Pole the Ziwei Enclosure.
As one of the Three Enclosures in traditional Chinese astronomy, it symbolized the center of the universe, cosmic order, and supreme authority.
As there is the Purple Palace in Heaven, so there is the Purple Forbidden City on Earth.
Over time, Daoist philosophy, astronomy, and traditional destiny studies merged. Zi Wei came to represent not only a sacred region of the heavens, but also the principal star in Zi Wei Dou Shu, one of China's respected systems of destiny analysis.
